Someone's Lunch

On every stem, on every leaf...at the root of everything that grew, was a professional specialist in the shape of grub, caterpillar, aphis, or other expert, whose business it was to devour that particular part.
~Oliver Wendell Holmes

  3. The top eaten part has a shadow of a teddy bear....certainly, of a teddy bear caterpillar.
the ugliness of the caterpillar hides a butterfly.
