The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?
What an enchanting little vignette. A word we don't use often enough - enchanting. I think I'll change that. Expect to hear it often. :)
What few snowstorms I have been through. But with all, I remember the absolute silence that falls outside, along with the snowflakes. Is that true everywhere? Or only here in the south, where all traffic stops? It's quite enchanting.
Yes, it does have a magical, unworldly quality about how it appears. As I write this, it has been snowing for the past few hours. Already the steets are quite and a softness has enveloped our neighborhood. If I were a fairy, I would run outside and do pirouettes across the soft blanket of snow all night long as it fell.
Significance or signifant?? ....is in the eyes of the beholder. When i look at what you see you show me who you are.....is that a leaf or a feather left behind by the bygone season? Or a reminder of the origin of life's mystery??
this is so true about the magic of snow. enchantment for sure.
ReplyDeleteAm anxiously awaiting our first real snow fall..one that covers the earth in a white blanket!!! stunning image...

ReplyDeleteGood grief...such a lovely photo...:)
ReplyDeleteThat really is quite a lovely capture. I'm afraid the snow we had this weekend is all brown from the windblown dirt. Not so pretty at all.
