One Beautiful Thing ~ six

It is the things that are most fleeting that bring the most joy.

A magnolia bloom doesn't last very long... the petals can start to speckle before the flower has a chance to fully open. But how exquisite they giant spring time snowflakes that don't melt right away.

Like the silky taste of chocolate on your tongue, or the brilliant sorbet sky at dusk, or the exciting thrill of a thunderstorm, or a shimmering bubble before it pops.... the delightfulness of these evanescent interludes is lost if we don't experience them in the here and now.

  1. Your words are like my therapy. I love this image.

  2. Love your description of them, you have such a beautiful way with words.

  3. I heartily agree with your lovely words. I try to remind myself to never pass up that morsel of chocolate when politely offered. It is JUST so fleeting! Like you said...

  4. Chocolate? Sorbet? Oh Jaime ~ you just blew my diet!! LOL ~ well.... maybe it was that Pecan Carmel Frozen Yogurt I ate....

Another beautiful photo ~ it does indeed look like a snowflake ~ without the cold! :)

    Happy Weekend my friend!
