Meet Dollie the Bulldog, Bella the Bassett and Charlie the Jack Russell.
I bumped into this rambunctious trio on the street this past weekend, and their owner graciously let me photograph them. Charlie was a bit camera shy, but the other two were naturals in front of the camera, and so full of character.
I have never owned a dog, and I don't know if I ever will, but I LOVE other people's dogs. They make me happy. I think it is especially great that I get to enjoy them without having to be the pooper scooper.
Dogs live in the moment.... and they love unconditionally. They are chronically happy creatures.
They could probably teach us silly humans a thing or two.

Lovely photos. I especially like the third because the dog has beautiful, sad expression on it. And fourth is great as well - it´s very funny.
Fantastic moment! I also do not have a dog, but I love to play with other people´s dogs on the streets!

Did you happen to know yesterday was my birthday!? What a wonderful gift to open all of those lovely parcels of sweet notes. You just help make my day a beautiful one. I also was asked by a food magazine to be a contributing editor. What a super day! On the other hand, my eye went straight to the bassett hound. They always look like they need a hug. Did you happen to give him a hug? So cute...

I, too, live vicariously when it comes to pets .... but, do love to see and pet those .... I occasionally see a lady walking several greyhounds.... usually when I don't have my camera! some day.....
I think I'm in love with Bella! Such sweet little dogs...I would love to own one someday. They are pure joy all the time.

:) lucie lu the jack russell lives upstairs from me. she likes bad boy dogs and keeps us in constant laughter. she would have loved to be in the middle of this group of happy.
like you, i don't own a dog - no room or time - but i love them. love their unconditional love and loyalty. (right now skye the cat has her back to me - i have somehow messed up - lol!)
